Cumulus House

Meditch Murphey Architects · Built by Square One
The Project

The home Square One was brought in to rescue.

The owners’ original builder walked off the job — cashing out before the house ever reached drywall — leaving an unfinished, problem-riddled shell. Square One stepped in and, in effect, rebuilt it, correcting and redoing nearly everything to bring the home cleanly to drywall and beyond.

What makes it remarkable is how it’s built: autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) block — lightweight, exceptionally insulating, fire- and pest-resistant — paired with a geothermal system and radiant-floor heating for quiet, all-season comfort.
