Ontario Residence

The Project

A modern row home on a 14-foot lot.

The Ontario Residence reinterprets the urban row home on a compact remnant lot near Rock Creek Park. Within tight constraints, the four-story home maximizes sunlight and greenery — two metal-clad walls veil the neighbors and reflect light onto built-in vertical gardens.

A perforated-steel staircase lets light flow through the home, and a rooftop deck overlooks Rock Creek Park and the National Zoo. Built by PureForm Builders.
