Pool House

The Project

MODE4 Architecture’s Pool House in Alexandria.

The Pool House is a new white-brick pool house, with a courtyard, pergola, and pool beside an existing residence. The gabled building opens to a wood deck through tall glass, under a timber-and-steel pergola. The red-brick residence was already there.

Square One Development Group built this new work: the pool house, the courtyard, the pergola, and the pool.

An oak stair with black steel balusters and pale wood millwork run through the pool house. Living, dining, and kitchen spaces face the courtyard. A bedroom opens onto a small balcony toward the existing residence.
